Alumni Association of Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (Deemed to be University) is working to promote and foster good relationship between the alumni members and the institute through constructive engagement in the development of the institution. The institute also considers its alumni working in organizations across the world as an integral part of its community.
Aims and Objectives of the Alumni Association
- To promote and foster good relations between Alumni Members and the University.
- To uphold the democratic and inclusive traditions of CIBS centered on the themes that deepen our understanding and appreciation of the values enshrined in the Objectives of the Institute.
- To promote and encourage fellowship and the spirit of mutual cooperation and understanding amongst the members of the Association.
- To provide opportunities for community service and to act as good will ambassadors to CIBS within India and abroad
- To provide academic and professional interaction and networking among the Alumni Association of CIBS and endeavour to create career opportunities for the CIBS student community.
- To realize the enormous benefits that may come from the engagement of Alumni Association with the University and seek their support in identifying strategic directions for CIBS.
- To conduct Annual Alumni Day celebration.
- To organize educational and cultural programmes and carry out such other activities as may be necessary for furthering the above aims and objectives.
- To publish newsletters/handouts/ journals to strengthen communication between the Association and its members.
- To honour the distinguished Alumni of the Association who have excelled and contributed in their respective domains.
- To collect funds through subscriptions, contributions and donations, grant-in-aid etc., from members; non-members, Governments, Universities and other institutions and philanthropists for furtherance of the above objectives.
